Blogs by immigrants to Quebec document migration as a narrative reconstruction of experiences and events negotiated within the immigrant blogging community. Different concepts of temporality play an essential role in this prolonged process of negotiation and meaning-making. These concepts originate in two areas of discourse. First, they stem from the institutional discourse of Canadian immigration policy, which defines immigration as a parcours. Second, they arise from immigrants' personal experiences and emotions linked to their immigration journey. This essay uses an extensive corpus of blogs by Latin American immigrants to Quebec and the methodological framework of discourse analysis and conversational linguistics to examine the forms, functions, and meanings of the construction of concepts of temporality in migration.
