This means that the New World, without designating a certain part of the world, refers to a world to come and, consequently, to a process of fundamental transformation that affects and reconfigures all parts of the world. The point is that the world as universality, that is, as a concept of unity and experiential totality on Earth, only emerges with America. What this perspective posits is that the universal idea of the world is the result of America. However, the New World in question is not, as yet, the one world in which only a single humanity lives - that is, the one that emerges with America.
