The teaching folder Procesos migratorios en Am\u00e9rica Latina deals with migration as a social, political, historical and economic phenomenon in an increasingly globalised world. Beyond the dominant focus on the border region between Mexico and the USA and south-north migration, the aim is to draw attention to the multidimensionality of mobility(ies) in the Americas. The materials scrutinise immigration policies and migration regimes and are intended to encourage students to engage with the complex motivations behind emigration. In addition, they attempt to trace the different experiences that migrants have on their journey, but also in their new everyday life and work, and to deal with their difficult identity formation processes.<\/p>\n
