The Immigrant Nations workbook deals with migration as a social, political, historical and economic phenomenon in an increasingly globalised world. The materials scrutinise immigration policies and migration regimes in North America and are intended to encourage students to engage with the complex motivations and experiences of emigration. Selected places and spaces (Toronto\/Canada & New York\/USA, US-Mexican Borderlands) are used to provide insights into the historical and current significance of migration processes in the Americas.<\/p>\n
The folder is designed according to the building block principle and contains materials and teaching suggestions for use in advanced foreign language lessons in English from Class 9 onwards.<\/p>\n
