Jannik Kohl graduated in Sociology (B.A.) and InterAmerican Studies (M.A.) at University of Bielefeld, Germany. He was a visiting student at Complutense University of Madrid and at the University of Guadalajara. During his academic career, he worked as a research assistant at the DFG Research Center (SFB) 882 From Heterogeneities to Inequalities, as well at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Conflict and Violence Research (IKG).
